a meeting was held to elect two new Selectors for the Men's Bowls. Brian Hudson and Reville Potts were nominated,
however, both declined the position. There being no further nominations, the Selection committee remained unchanged.
It's now up to us to get behind the Selectors with positive feedback and suggestions. The
following events were also discussed:

The Tournament featured Bowlers graded 4 and below from Corrimal, Helensburgh and host Club Scarborough Wombarra Corrimal opened their campaign with a 132-114 shot win over Scarborough Wombarra,which produced some keenly contested rinks,combined with some 'blowouts' on either side. Sunday's (15 Jan ) round, Scarborough Wombarra and Helensburgh, was postponed after over 6 inches(150m ) of rain made the Greens unplayable. Last Sat ( 21st Jan, Corrimal played Helensburgh with Corrimal defeating "Burgh" 115 shots to 106, to qualify for the Final. On Sun Morning the round robin section was completed ,with the winner advancing to the final in the afternoon. Scarborough Wombarra prevailed defecting their Northern Neighbours 121 shots to 104 to enter the decider. The final was a very closely contested affair, with Corrimal prevailing, to hold on from the fast finishing Scarborough Wombarra, and run out 4 shot winner, 121 shots to 117. This inaugural Tournament concept was well supported, and appeared to be a successful venture. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed themselves and the Bowlers got something out of the 2 weekends. Congratulations to Corrimal on their well deserved victory and to all our Volunteers who contributed to a successful Event. Next Sat ( 28th Jan) we travel to Bellambi for 2 trials ( 4's and 6/7's ) @ 1pm. Please advise me ASAP if you are unavailable! Otherwise the same players who contested the Northern Challenge will all be considered Our Club Fours have only 4 teams entered, which is a very poor response.Hopefully, these numbers will increase during this week. If not, I will, try to play next Sunday 29th Jan ( AM) Semi's (PM) Final. The mixed final from last year has still not been played, Can both teams get together and complete this match ASAP RDMCB Bowls Co-ordinator
To all clubs.The 2012 conditions
of play are now completed and are on the Bowls NSW Web site. There are some changes, particularly in regards to the pennant gradings. I suggest each club get a copy from the Web site and study the changes.
